Pontianak is a city founded by Sultan Syarief Abdurrahman on
23 October 1771 (14 Rajab 1185 a.h.), when he opened the forest at the
confluence of the Landak River, small Kapuas River and big Kapuas River.
Pontianak city is famous for its streams and ditches. Where

Government organized a Festival which called Jawi River Festival
